About Benfelds Boxers and a Griffon

My love of Boxers started in my late teens when I returned from working as a nanny in England.  My dad had always wanted a Boxer but my mum had won the argument so we had grown up with Rough Collies.  Prior to my return my parents had rescued a flashy brindle male from the pound, his name was Bernie.  Bernie was about 9 months old when he came to live with my parents and everyone fell in love with him immediately, he was such a wonderful dog.  Bernie passed away close to his 11th birthday.

I purchased my first boxer Ch. Brodelle Double Dazzler (Annie) in 1995.  On the way to gaining her Australian Championship Annie won BIS at the Utility Dog Club of WA Championship Show and had many Class in Group wins.  Annie loved to do agility although we never competed.  Annie was Brodelle Boxers first homebred champion.

Annie was bred to Ch. Hexenhaus Sebastian (Faust) and from that litter I kept Benfelds Twice Th' Dazzle (Dahby).  Sadly Annie passed away in January 2008, 4 months after her 12th birthday.

In 2000 I moved to the US taking Dahby with me.  Dahby was shown occasionally in the states and had a litter of puppies by HiMaster's Fired Up at Cinema (Cosmo) (14 points, 3 majors).  From that litter I kept Benfelds Be Dazzled (Tilli) and the stud dog owner took Cinema's Sparkling Diamond of Benfelds (Corky) who was sold to Kat Medved of Fairview Boxers and has been their foundation bitch.   Tilli was owner/breeder handled at the ABC National in Wisconsin which was an amazing experience and one I will never forget!

In 2004 I returned from the states leaving behind Dahby, which broke my heart.  Dahby turned 13 on 13 April 2011 and is living in Illinois with her daughter Tilli.  She is a very much loved member of the Teel family.

About 6 weeks after leaving the States I met Ryan Clements, the love of my life!  Ryan and I were married in March 2008 and we are looking forward to what the future may bring.

I didn't own a Boxer for 4 years after coming home and have had to start again.  Suromar Ally McGaw (Ally) who was bred by Sue Res and Robyn Knox of Suromar Boxers came to live with me in 2008 and now lives with Paulette and Alan in the lap of luxury!  Currently I have at home Suromar Charlies Angel (Charli).  Charli is shown occasionally but will be out in the show ring more as she matures.   Charli is also being obedience and agility trained hopefully to a competitive level.  Charli recently passed her Advanced Beginners course with flying colours taking out Top Dog with a score of 98 /100!!  What a very smart girl.

We also have Monty, our Griffon who is Ryan's lap dog.  Monty is retired show dog and is such a little dude.  We got Monty when he was 5 years old, he is now 10 and his only purpose in life is to be touched and look cute, he performs both tasks very well!

I registered Benfelds Boxers in 1997 and have been showing and breeding under that prefix.

Please contact me if you would like any information regarding the beautiful, goofy, loyal, hilarious and absolutely brilliant Boxer!
